The Department of Energy has created a new report, titled "20% Wind Energy by 2030: Increasing Wind Energy's Contribution to U.S. Electricity Supply," with an encouraging conclusion that this can be reliably integrated into the grid at a cost of less than 0.5 cents per kilowatt-hour.

The Oklahoma Wind Power Initiative, in their Newsletter, "The Oklahoma WinCharger," states, "Oklahoma, which could produce 9% of the nation's electricity from wind power by 2030, is the ideal location for wind generation, tower and blade production, turbine component manufacturing, repair and maintenance operations, and industry research and development."
